OH GOOD HEAVENS

I don't know about you but I hope this thing is gone. We don't need it running around breeding. Scary I tell ya.((( Shutters!))) This came in my email, sure looks real anyway. Either way can you imagine? OMG.

Guess what was found just south of Jacksonville... Near the St. Augustine outlet, in a new KB homes subdivision.

15 foot Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake. Largest ever caught on record.

After seeing this, I did a little research, and learned the following:

One bite from a snake this large contains enough venom to kill over 40 full grown men.

The head alone is larger than the hand of a normal sized man.

This snake was probably alive when George H. W. Bush was President.

A bite from those fangs would equal being penetrated by two 1/4 inch screwdrivers.

A snake this size could easily swallow a 2 year-old child.

A snake this size has an approximately 5 and 1/2 foot accurate striking distance. (The distance for an average size Rattlesnake is about 2 feet)

Pea,

That is fiction and also a forwarded email that may contain a virus. I just looked it up on the internet. St.John's area in Florida said the snake was only seven feet three inches in length and was caught last year.

I have been to Jacksonville, Fla. and I can tell you one thing... the cockroaches I saw are as big as mice !

I have also seen scorpions in Palatka, FLA.

Hugs,
Linda

Either way Pea, eeeewwwww!! I hate snakes. Once when Jordan was little (about 4), him and I were out in the shed that we were building and well, in among the materials, I saw something move, it was a little Gardner snake and I freaked. I about flipped a lid!! He of course, said "that is cool Mom"...not in my eyes. LOL Boys will be boys.

Hugs,

Hello Linda,
There is no virus or my email wouldn't have opened it. I have 3 programs on this p.c. just for that kind of thing.

Well either length too big for me. I hate snakes. It sure looks big enough and bigger then 7 ft next to that cop.
I hate bugs too. Yick
