Season of Change

About this time of year, every year I start to feel what I call a itch. Not a itch actually but something that ya just have to do. A urge, a feeling, a push or maybe even a pull. Just a feeling I guess. I start to get a nesting urge and want to freshen the old homestead with a deep PURGE! LOL Organize, deep clean, paint and burn it down and start over. God forbid on that last part but maybe ya know what I mean?

I have been working on my studio for 4 years now and it still isn't the way that I want it!?! Crazy I know but true. I get a good start in January and then the creative bug or the I design team projects kinda stop the process. This year I have those obligations again but I think I may have a plan in motion that might help to keep things on track.
I purchased a Day Runner for my creative endeavors and I hope that it will help to keep me on track. A task or two each day as a "TO DO LIST" might help.
I have already started with some of the things I needed and wanted to do.
I asked for a christmas present to help out and hubby got it for me and gave it to me early.
This little cart will hold all my 6 x 6 paper pads except holiday themed and some of the stamps I like to color. I have some I haven't inked yet. So I will place them in the cart to be used first.

I am also reorganizing some dies. For my banner dies I picked up this.
I have dies on both sides of this metal memo board from Joann's. I actually bought two. They have a larger one for the wall and I may end up getting that if I expand my collection as this is plum full. I honestly don't know if I will buy more? Ya never know? I have punches too. They work.

I have been converting all my stamps over to cd sleeves for days. I will post that to facebook tomorrow. I have gotten rid of the cd cases and the plastic book cases as well as the Stampin' Up DVD cases. I still have the book cases that are large and have pages to flip in them like Amy R has but I really do like the file system best. After having my stamps stored in so many types of organization. I know I use them  more in that form.

I know my room won't really be done for a long time. Not with the list of things I want to do. Closets, flooring, lights etc. But a little at a time. For NOW I just want it semi done and functional. It won't be the prettiest but if it works that really is the bottom line for me.
So for now that is what I am working on. I do a little everyday. It takes time and I feel like I am running out! Crazy I know, but I want it done by my birthday. So I can mark it off my list.
Okay, gonna hit the hay early tonight. I have housework and wrapping to do tomorrow.
 Blessings,Pea

How many times have I said it ?

That I am a bad blogger! LOL Yes, I am but again this is my blog so if I feel like it, I can and if I don't then I don't. Honestly though 9 times out of 10 I simply forget. It has never been a part of my daily routine like coffee or showering. Like Tracy over at Tracy's treasures. She updates everyday and feel bad, honestly bugged when she doesn't blog. Then again hers is much more a document of her daily life. A journal perhaps.
That is how this started out and I will still keep it as such. To share my person thoughts, friendships, and as always my creations. After all that is how this thing was supposed to work. Me, well I think I can sum it up simply by one little word "LAZY"! Yes, I have been just plain ol' lazy about blogging.
At one point it wasn't fun anymore and felt more like a chore. I didn't feel that way today so here ya go. LOL
Hey, at least I can laugh at the simple truth. Life has been crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! I have created nonstop since the end of August. I mean like everyday I am doing something. Even today managed to create two Christmas cards. Yesterday I worked on a project but didn't get it done. It still isn't done but in the stage of ugly and hopefully will not be that way when I am done. LOL If it is, well then in the trash it goes. Not many end up there but some do. Just how it is. So I thought I would share with you a few of my last projects. I do hope you enjoy.
Maybe I will see you again soon. Don't hold your breath under water or anything, but we shall see. LOL
Blessings,Pea

A lace book with needle felted heart on front. Laces inside were from the hoard vault. There is a video on my channel. Whimsical Endeavors

Another wool sewing bird as I simply love making them for special people. This one went with the Lace book to Brigitte.
The card I made to go with the set. MME lost and found 1 blush paper. Using up what I have. Was so happy I did too.

A clock inside a paper mache heart, inside a birds nest, inside a  large metal "L". It is awesome. I love this piece. Titled "love nest". Made it for a friend of mine. Part of her swap and she loves hearts and clocks.
also a video on my channel of this piece showing more details.
Next I worked on a few Halloween projects. My neighbor and friend was having a birthday party for her foster daughter. This poor kid had never had a birthday party. Long story but we went all out for her sweet 16th. Thanks to MME for their wonderful Halloween party kit. I heard some folks got these for $2.00 bucks last week...!? WOW Yea, I paid 10 for mine :( oh well it was worth it. Almost killed the stack.
Okay well I think maybe I will show you the rest next time. This post is already long enough. I know many don't read it, but ya know I always do and check it. I don't want to read 9 pages in one post. LOL Not of myself anyway.
 Have a great week.

Too often

I forget to update my blog. It has been almost 2 months? WOW where does the time go? It doesn't seem that long, but clearly it has escaped me again.
I have lots of things to share. I have been creating, just not updating. Mom still requires a lot of my time even though she doesn't live here.

I have been asked to be on two design teams.
Butterbeescraps, Lot of yummy metal stuff to play with. I created something for this team already and you can watch the video here.
The second team is One Little dreamer
Aarti has some of the most beautiful trims. Oh I have some ideas on how to use those. They are all so pretty.
Here is a video showing some of those beautiful trims.
i recently picked my kit. I am super excited as you will be able to purchase a kit of trims like me so you too can create.

I have more videos and projects coming soo but right now I need some sleep

Another great Organization piece~ YAY

I received my Ultimate Tray from Stampinthings.com a few days ago and let me tell you this thing is the BOMB!
I love trays and have about 10 or more around the house. I use them for catch alls to control some of the clutter. I can grab a tray and load it up and put it all away in about 15 minutes. So this is one for my studio. It is perfect.
Wait, there's more.. LOL now it sounds like a infomercial. LOL Really I only believe in promoting what I really use and love.
Okay, maybe a picture will help.
or two?
you have 3 options of how you use it. Flat, horizontal or vertical. It is solid wood and stands so very nicely. Even better you can customize it in so many ways. Each one of the little squares comes out. Yep, so look what you can fit in here

Even my distrezz it all  fits and no adjustments needed. The fiskars stamp and press. That is one thing that is hard to find a spot for. Even the corner chomper fits. modeling paste, gel medium, large paints, 25 foam brushes. WOW... Tim Holtz ink fits perfectly as well.
In this shot you can see I have a huge ink pad, 8 embossing powders, ATG gun, a Tim Holtz die, yea a  die and the new envelope punch board. It can hold just about any of your supplies. If you are like me, you like to take them elsewhere in the house and create with the ones you love. Perfect. So the organizing possibilities are endless.

You can check out the Ultimate Tray and all their wonderful products here... LINKhttp://www.stampinthings.com/Craft-Storage.html

Made in the U.S.A. out of solid wood and extreme care.

Just a few photos

I love nature and all it has to offer. I love taking pictures and just playing around with my camera. I have so much to learn yet. As you can see it takes great shots on auto but I want to go beyond that. So I have been playing around.
Here are two new shots to share. One I took recently and other quite awhile ago but thought I would share anyway.
Be back ASAP
I love this shot. Mr. Robin posed just long enough.

this one I took of the little tree frog last spring. Sitting on scotch broom plant. This shot is the only thing I have ever known a use for this terrible stuff ;)

Have a great week

Ink Storage Solution Solved! YAY!

The biggest problem I had of late in the studio was ink storage. It was a pain in the ( insert word of your choice) to dig through a drawer! I hated it. Well hate my be a too strong a word, but I disliked it to the point of no return. LOL
Having to dig made me not even want to use the inks on the bottom and I rarely did because of it.
 Now for the solution.

TA DA!
This is the" Elite" from Stampin Things click link HERE. This is one of two pieces I have of theirs. Here is the other.
This is the "Topper"  and it fits so wonderful on top of the Elite. Just perfect. I have room to grow *wink* and trust me I will* wink again*.
These two units hold all my stamp pads of many kinds. They hold stampin up & markers. The Memento,Hero Arts, Ranger Adirondack , distress inks, all the reinkers to any ink.
The tray on top holds a basket with my ink blender items, my ink spinner and a few other needful items stamp/ink related. Here is a picture of mine in my studio.
See how nicely everything fits? I just love it. The quality is really good. I mean they are so sturdy. They hand make each piece and they spin. I did a video on it.  That is here.
They carry more then just ink storage and I am looking forward to getting a few of those pieces as well. Great storage pieces that are well made here in the good old U.S.A. are hard to find. Their prices are great and the amount of storage you get compared to others well they beat it hands down. I did lots of research before choosing this company. I called Sue and she was so nice and so very helpful. Just a peach of a woman.
I am as happy as can be with this solution. Go check them out if the old drawer isn't working for you either. LOL
So off to do some more organizing. Getting there, slowly but surely. I want to do it right and be done for good:)
 Happy day to all

More projects and a video

I did 2 more projects. I have been working on this first one for about a month on and off. I knew what I wanted to do, but had to work out the kinks. It takes me a little while to work it out. Especially when I am so so tired.  Taking care of mom is a full time job. LOL

This is a old portfolio from the 30's.
this is side A, yes there are two sides. Love that:)
this is a photo frame side created from the original mat that was inside. I didn't do too much as I feel sometimes the projects are so big that they distract from the beautiful pictures that it may hold.

Here is a close up of the details. The chain leaves are my favorites.
Onto side "B"
It is a pincushion. I love it. Created from a box lid. I had so much fun.
here is a close up. You can really see that crackle. I love the martha stewert crackle paint.
So I think I need to hit the shower since hubs is home and go to bed. Just totally wiped out again. I feel like I am been working 12's again. OMG.
I will share my last project tomorrow. If you like you can watch the video on all 4 projects below.
 Have a wonderful night.
Blessings,Pea

Busy, busy, creative girl

That would be me the last few weeks. It seems I go through spurts. I am really good at getting stuff done for a few weeks and then I hit a low point again and can't seem to find time to get anything done.
I like it better when I post often and have lots to share. If you came today to see projects I have some.  I know shocking huh? LOL

The first is a 5 minute card. I can't ever remember making a card that only took 5 minutes. Until now. Seriously that never happens. I really like it though and wish more of my cards came together this quickly. Then again I did no stamping, no inking and just used the pretty paper. Easy Peasy they say.
 The card measures 5 x 5.
 And for the inside
Just more of the wonderful papers. See told ya very easy.
I did a wee bit of stitching on the front two panels on this one. Distressed all the edges. But no ink. Really was hard to resist. I wanted to see if I could do shabby chic. I don't think this is there yet, but like going to go into cold water. You go in a little at a time. LOL

Project #2 is a tag
This is also shabby chic. I do love how it turned out. For a sweet lady who has breast cancer. So sad for her, but had to send her a little smile. I hope this  makes her smile.
I think this is very pretty. I love the image and the leaves, OMG the leaves. I used acetate and cut them out with a sizzlet die. Then I stamped with white stazon ink. Love it. Will be doing this often. Love the softness of the white.

close up of this pretty

I am beat, beyond beat. So tired I could sleep for a week. So for now I am going to close here. I have 2 more projects to share and that will have to be tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by:)
Many blessings,Pea

Like Fainting Women

My great grandmother used to say" good intentions are like fainting women, they need to be carried out." LOL I know huh? I had good intentions of showing you a few more cards or projects every few days but again fell behind.
 My story I guess. LOL

soooooooo I will share a card with you now.
I made this card for a swap I am in. I have a couple of them coming up so trying to get some goodies all gathered and ready to go while the mojo is flowing. LOL

Here is the close up. Yum, I really love this card and mom tried to buy it. LOL
Okay back to my dolly. Updates are soon and have to get this stuff done.
 Have a good night:)
hugs,Pea

very special gift

The goodness of friends can bring so much joy. I am not talking about the presents although always appreciated . I am talking about time, sweet precious time. When a friend takes the time to create something with their own two hands. Even with all the other obligations and things they would like to do, I think there is no greater compliment. When I think of good friends I start to hum that old girlscout song we used to sing.
Make new friends but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold.

Two good friends took their precious time to create something for me for my birthday. It just warms the heart as I know HOW very BUSY both of these ladies are. The first is Brigitte- from http://paperandparis.wordpress.com/
Brigitte made this beautiful card. I just love it to bits. So classic just like Brigitte. Thank you so much PB for thinking of me:)
The second set of goodies is from My friend Tracy- you all know her as Tracy's Treasures.
http://tracystreasures-tracy.blogspot.com/
Tracy sent this lovely card so cutely colored, the mini notebook as she knows I am always hunting for paper to write things down and the best of all this mini brag book. OMG I saw this and was so super excited and touched. It is so cute and I can't wait to fill it up with pictures of my little fox. That will be the hard part, getting the prints made. Something I am terrible at. Don't know why? LOL
I will have to do it soon.  What a sweet idea too.
Okay, I need to get some stuff done. I have been organizing my pinterest today too. It was a mess. LOL  So much better but have lots of stuff to add, delete, move. It will get there. Then over the next week I have to get all my files backed up and ready to restart my pc. what a task that will be. UGH. Not looking forward to it I will tell you that.
Have a great night.

card # 5 and 6

I am on a roll lately and I couldn't be happier. here is card number 5
I am not really a pink person as you all know by now but I do love this card. The image is a pre-colored cheater image from lily of the valley stamps. His name is Thomas and I think it is so stinking cute. I even broke into a new stack of paper for this card. Tee hee, told ya I was on a roll. I hope it keeps going cause I am totally enjoying this.

My second card used another image from the same cheater set, hey I have them so I want to use them up right?
Isn't this too cute. I love this one even more then the first I think. It is the colors and patterns I think.I added a bit of diamond dust stickles to both of them. Couldn't help myself.

So I have a few more cards to share but I think I will save those for another post.
I have been creating a little bit and organizing almost daily. It is awesome. I am so happy I am able to do a little of both. I was stuck between wanting/needing to finish the studio and wanting/ needing to create. So now I work for a little while and then clean/organize. The studio is not done yet. It is a slow process for me while I am taking care of mom. I have about 4 hrs everyday to do all that I need or want to get done. That may seem like a lot of time, but you should see my list! LOL
I will put the materials list below in case you are interested in a particular product I used.
have a wonderful week and another post to follow this one!

card #2 and #3

It is hard to believe that I have made 3 cards already for the year. Well to be honest I have made 5 so far but I will share more later.

The first card is My Grandson's very first valentines card. I hope the kids get a smile out of it, until Henry is really old enough to view it and know what it is. measures 4 x 5.5
I love how it turned out. The little stamp if you remember is one I just bought. I never use them this quick. I had also just purchased that paper about a month ago. I am so proud of myself for doing that.

The second card is always one we dislike making. For someone who has lost a loved one. I won't say sympathy because I honestly hate that word. I just say thinking of you. I used old stamps and products but that is good too. I haven't used them in a long time. I like the way it turned out. Even though I hate making them. So sad and never words that really impact how the person is feeling.:(

So what new items have you used recently. I challenge you to use something old( never touched) and something recently gifted or purchased. I am gonna keep using it all. I have continued with this using the brand new. I never thought I would. Really loving how freeing and fun it is. Have a creative weekend.
