How very nice!

Heidi of Crabby Gabby had purchased my Except a Mouse pattern from me earlier this year and mentioned she was excited to give it a try.

She emailed me a few days ago with the pictures from the completed piece, and told me she really liked the pattern. Such nice things she had to say I was blushing. Then I saw her pics and OMG she did such a adorable, wonderful job that I had to show you all. I am actually embarrassed to show you the shot from the original being it has been so long and I have grown so much as a doll maker but I want you to appreciate the special "touch" that Heidi has placed on this creation. So with a gulp and a grin I show you mine, then with Pride and glee I show you Heidi's. Thank you Heidi for sharing with me. LOVE IT!

Thank you so much Jenny. Heidi stashed one, I wish I had pennies I would steal it from her. LOL
I love the look of it too.

YES! May you be blessed during the New Year!!! gotta get cabbage and beans for tomorrow or it won't be a good one as the Irish would say. beans and cabbage I don't like but it supposed to mean money in the pot so I will eat it! LOL

Pea, they are both wonderful! I am definitely going to get this pattern from you. I love it. I bet you could adjust it and make it for other times as well. What about an ice skate and the two mice are building their home inside the skate and instead of passing packages..they are passing home furnishing...lol

Joyous New Year to You and Yours!

Doreen

Both creations are adorable! Doreen had a good idea on how to modify it. I've never heard about beans and cabbage. It doesn't sound very good though. I'm sending wishes for health, happiness and prosperity for you in the New Year!

It turned out wonderful! Yours is equally as nice. Beans and cabbage sound great. I don't have time though. Hubby in hospital and have to go visit.

Hi Pea !
Happy New Year !!!

Heidi did a wonderful job on your pattern ! It's adorable.

I think this is the first pattern I bought from you. I have only made the mouse so far. Now I wish I had made the whole set !

In one of your comments you mention the foods to eat for the New Year.. in this area, it's saurkraut and pork, in some parts of south it's black eyed peas and I think maybe turnip greens ???
Different areas have different traditions.

Linda

Hello Linda,
even after all these years this pattern still sells well. I guess I do good now and then.
Yes, the irish eat cabbage and beans. leaves of cabbage - dollars and beans are coins. LOL
I know everyone has their traditions. Just we are irish- go figure? LOL that we eat this. Not liking it too much but tradition and all will do it.
Blessings for all the best,Pea
