Progress...

Oh the studio is coming along in between coats of paint drying and sanding a few things. I take a bit of time and I put up some pretties for me to enjoy.
Another artist's work I admire framed here. Karen from Lovella Ranch That little raven haired beauty reminds me of my Sue. The redhead reminds me of my Mom when she was younger. Just something about these prints that I had to have. Very reasonable as well. They are printed on bible pages. Framed from Wally world with the mattes were a steal at 6 bucks each.

The sign was made from a gal I met at a show and loved her signs. I don't do the wood stuff so had to have it.
Do you see the pretty blue wall?- the first picture is the correct color. Oh I love that color. Called River's edge. It is very muted and soothing. Inspiring as well. I just have the one wall painted that color. The rest of the walls are creamy like buttermilk. I still have furniture to finish, a chair to completely recover and a bit more straightening and moving things about. It is coming together. In between sewing dollies that is. LOL
Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

That is a sigh of relief. Today is Sunday and I get to relax for about 2 minutes before the work begins again.
This dolly almost kicked my butt! LOL I have never done a doll that took so long or was so difficult as this one. In the end the redhead came out and so did the doll.:)
Took every last minute I had but I did finish on time, by my skin of my teeth. It is a Pea's twist on a old stand by the Topsy Turvy doll. I do like the way they turned out.

As to which one I like better, I don't know? Just happy they found a new home.

I have another busy week ahead of me. The studio is a mess so I have to go clean that up and start again.

Here is another picture from the studio.

Here you will see a few angels from Kimmie of Prims by Kim
I bought these cuties last year for the studio and love their new home. I adore them, so sweet. I got the clock at Ross for 9 bucks. I like it cause it has a timer on it. Comes in handy when I have something in the oven or to keep me pushing through.

Time is a wasting and I have to get to work so best get to it.
Have a wonderful Sunday.

Champagne tastes on a Beer Pocketbook~ TREASURE HUNT~GIVE AWAY!

Hello Friends,
I am sure that a few of you can relate to this title. I know sometimes my pocketbook has only enough funds for water. which is free LOL Mom has always told me that fits me to a T, well I think that is one thing I inherited from her. LOL
I can be very thrifty. I am cheap on most things. Somethings I buy middle ground.
When it came to my studio I knew I had to be cheap. But that doesn't mean it has to look cheap now does it? You can goodies that are very reasonable. Lots of things can be remade and that is helps spruce them up. Giving new life to something that would have been replaced, thrown out or given away helps save money and Mother Nature.

I purchased a print from a artist I have admired for sometime now. I love the prints option as I can't get a original. Just not in my budget.:(
I saw Danita's prints after her release on PFATT on her ETSY SHOPPE and couldn't help myself. I had to have this print. It made me smile. Remembering days when just watching grass grow was all I had to do that day. Yes, on Sundays that is all I had to do as a kid. SPOILED I KNOW!
I purchased the frame from Goodwill and it needed some love let me tell ya!LOL that thing was ugllly! The mat was icky yellow tan and the framed was beat up pretty bad. I got it for $3.00 though. Brought it home painted the mat white and spray paint and there you go. Cheap, easy and I LOVE IT NOW.
SOOO YOUR CHALLENGE is go to Danita's etsy shoppe and tell me what print is your favorite and why? ****I am GiVING AWAY one of her prints to ONE LUCKY WINNER!!!!!**. It will be purchased and sent directly to you. She does sign these prints.
WhY? am I doing this? Well I was supposed to have a give away in June. Life happened and got in my creative way. I am just now creating but not fast enough. Besides I know that some of you are like me, love art and simply not in your budget. I hope that you will frame it and show it to me. That would make me smile.
So the hunt is on. Have fun and can't wait to see all the pretties and hear why it is your favorite.
Happy treasure hunting.

One man's Junk is another man's treasure

Or woman's treasure. LOL
This is a HUGE piece that I got from a friend. I am using it in the studio and infact when I got this piece I didn't think it was going to fit. It has caused me to change my entire plan for the studio. I think I am liking this new plan even more then I had originally thought. Some color changes have taken place. Some style changes have taken place but all in all it if coming together.
Don't worry we will be doing the reveal sometime this year. LOL I just can't show it messy and now it is messy. I have been working on some things but have been gone a lot too.
DH has been sick and so back and forth with the doctors taking care of him. I do hope he gets better soon. Poor guy. Hopefully the new meds work otherwise it will be surgery.

Okay kids will have more to show soon. Just little peeks here and there.
I am wiped out so I think I will hit the hay.

I wish I had some Magic

Merlin~ SOLD~ I ~WISH~ I had those eyes!

I wish I had some magic. I need some for creating. I am so tired of late. Doing too much and some days too little. A little bit of funk I guess. We all get that way from time to time.
Tomorrow is my anniversary so there is a reason to celebrate!! 28 years. WOW that seems like forever. I think we shall keep it easy tomorrow. Simple dinner, maybe out and movies. Should be a warm day hopefully so that will be nice. Just being us, no kids and that will be a change. LOL

Just wanted to pop in and say hello! Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

~ NEW~ ArT

Hello Everyone,
I created something a little bit different this month for PFATT MARKET PLACE and could not wait to share it with you. I had so much fun playing. I haven't had this much fun in a very long time. Here is a little teaser of one of them for ya. I know I am bad, just can't help myself. LOL

I have a huge mess in the studio now but it is easy enough to clean up. I hope:/
I want to make one more before I go back to doll making. I still have a small order to complete as well.

I updated my ETSY SHOPPE as well this week. I have a few more goodies to add in the next couple of days. You can find the link on the right or click on the words ETSY shoppe on the first line of this paragraph.

I had a busy day. Finished up the deadline by the skin of my teeth. LOL then off to Mom's to help her. Poor thing threw her back out and well she just can't do much. I had to take down some really ugly curtain rods that are useless to her. That was a nightmare. Of course she was up on the stool too,(STUBBORN) trying and there went her back again. She stood there and cried being in so much pain. Of course I start crying too as there is nothing I can do. I can't stand to see her cry. It just kills me.
I am gonna go back on Friday to check in on her. I hope she will get it back into place. No Doctors will touch her back. She had polio and it blew several disks because of it. They said she would never walk again and she ran after that. She is strong minded. People ask me why I am so stubborn, I reply most days... "Have you met my Mother?" LOL

On that note I think I will hit the hay early. I am simply too tired.
Have a wonderful week.
Blessings to you and yours,Pea

Now I have heard of everything!

Well, friends what a week I have had. Where do I start? At the beginning I suppose.
Mom has been seeing a lot of doctors lately. She was very anemic and it seems actually had some blood loss. She ended up in the hospital. They gave her a transfusion and seems to be right as rain now. Although it has been a very long couple of weeks I am glad that it is over.
Want a giggle? While I was taking care of Mom she asked me to do her a favor. Get out her emergency curtains. I replied what? Emergency curtains? What the hank is emergency curtains? LOL
I found out that my Mother the planner for any event had among other things emergency curtains. Her answer was this." Well, you never know when you will have unexpected company from out of town, or move and you need curtains today. So these go in the top of the suitcase for just such emergencies." I laughed so hard I cried. I told her I was gonna blog this. She thinks that is funny. Now before you ask. NO, I am not the planner/organizer my mom is and I do not have emergency curtains.LOL If any of you do, you have to let me know.
The studio is still under fine tuning as I have been gone for nearly two weeks with mom. Now I have to get busy and create a few things. I hope to have the studio done next week. Right after I make this big mess. LOL Only time will tell.
I am not making plans anymore. It seems when I do a kink arises and plans are changed. I am just gonna go with the flow.
Have a wonderful week everyone.

HOW HAS ART SAVED YOU?

Now that is a good question. I recently visited a blog with a very interesting question. I always love a challenging question makes the rusty gears grind into working a little faster. LOL
Crescendo asks us how ART has saved us?
For me that is a many parts answer. I started creating at a very young age. My Mother got me hooked so that I would be busy when the weather was not so nice. I loved playing with all kinds of buttons, wood, fabrics, paper and threads. Ceramics and the list goes on.
As a teenager I loved home ec and made a shirt or two although still to this day hate making or mending clothing.
As a adult it saved me money from buying things that I knew I could create for less. LOL
But personally how did it save me? Well that is a whole new ball of wax. It saved me from insanity when my children were young. It helped remind me that I matter too. As Mother's we are often unselfish beings. We clean, cook and care for our families with such pride and dedication that we often are the forgotten ones. That isn't saying that being a wife/mother is a bad thing it is just that we seldom do things without someone elses needs or wants being first. Often times when we even treat ourselves to a simple coffee a cloud of guilt will consume us. Oh, I should have bought the kids a treat instead of me. Yes, this really has been my thoughts.

Creating is the one selfish thing I do. I do buy supplies for me, and I do create as much for the joy as the need. It makes me who I am. It keeps me centered in the big old world of loads of laundry, caring for a loving family and shuffling dollars to make cents. I don't ask the family if I can create, I simply tell them that I am going to. Then I do it. Art give me a identity beyond being just the kids Mom and Mr. Peabody's wife. It reminds me of who ME is...
Now tell me your story. I would love to know.
Have a wonderful day. I am off to finish painting the new studio. YEAH!

Unexpected Guest

Due to the fact that we live so far out in the boonies we don't get a lot of friends stopping by.
Yesterday I was taking out the trash and chatting with a friend on the phone when a guest showed up and it stopped me in my tracks.
I have lived here for 17 yrs and never knew there were frogs this BIG here. I have seen/heard the baby tree frogs. Have heard other noises that I thought were deer and hubby tells me it is the frogs.

Isn't he cute? He was as long and wide as a $5.00 bill. Yes, a 5.00 bill cause this boy isn't a happy meal. LOL

Back to painting the studio. I have primer on the wall so far. Pics soon I hope.
Have a wonderful week.

Tweedle Bee and Tweedle Bug

Hello Everyone,
I did manage to get some creating done this week. I am so happy and excited with this little set. I made them a bit different and I think they turned out so adorable.
They are so much sweeter in person.
They are listed on TDIPT and you can find them *HERE*

They can be purchased together or separately if you like.

I have been going all day. Today was the big day. We( the sweetest future DIL) and I moved all my stuff out of my studio. It is all over the house now. OMG I hope no one stops by. Hubby doesn't want me to move his stuff until tomorrow. I want to clear out that room. I have a lot of work a head of me. Clean carpets, prim and paint. Boy a boy what a job. But I can't wait until I have my new paint on the walls and it starts to feel like home.
maybe tomorrow you will get a before peek.
Until then have a wonderful weekend. I will be a busy girl;)

My first Mini book

Hello Everyone,
I have been playing in paper. I love playing in paper now and then. I got this book cut out as a freebie from a order some time back. As soon as I saw it I thought of my dearest friend. She is more like a sister then a friend. I had to make it for her.
The color choices are her favorites, colors of her furniture and decor.( although I love them too!) I took a few pics that I had of her, her family and had them printed in black and white.

I am not showing you all of the book pages as some of them are private moments and notes. Here are pics of most of the book though. You will miss the one paper flower, some of the pockets and tags but you will get the feel for the book from these pages I believe.

I love the fold of this envelope. I found it on utube and had fun playing with it. This is Kris being a goober.

My favorite page. A picture of her Mom( right) and her Auntie Joan. I adore these women and they make me feel like family. Hubby said the wings are upside down. I played with them and liked them like this. So blah to you hubbers:(

This is Kris and her four boys. What a funny bunch of guys they are.

Left this page open for her to add a pic of Eli her grandson. I didn't have one of him.

This is more room for pics to be added. I used Tim Holtz tickets for journaling as the pockets to add pics. The pic will make Kris laugh. You see when she was trying to move to Arizona she got stuck here because of this lovely snow( you see here) for 3 weeks. I had the best time with my closest friend for three whole weeks. She called it a vacation and I call it one of the best times of my life. God how I miss her.

I tried to make the book so that there wasn't a lot of decoration on it. Kris is a pretty classy, simple gal. She doesn't like the fluff, frilly, lace and flowery type stuff. Clean simple and antique-ish. So I tried to give that feel to the book. I hope I did achieve that.

So gals how did I do for my first book? PLEASE LET ME KNOW *TRACY?! Since you asked...

Well the dishes are calling and then I want to go create some more stuff. Sewing I think. Have a wonderful week.

Sunshine on my shoulder makes me happy

Love the words on this song even though not crazy about John Denver's singing. Today was a typical Washington day. One minute sunshine and the next is was sprinkles but ya know I love that sunshine.
I took some time to heal from the events from last week. Celebrated my son's birthday and got to laugh again. Good food, good people is always a happy event in our house. I love these kids and their partners. They have all chosen so well. We are blessed and I hope I never take it for granted.

My Son Tyler and his girlfriend Cassie above. Just look at those eyes.

I am working on a few projects including the goodies for the give away. Please be patient with me while I continue to heal a broken heart and get a little bit of me time. I do appreciate every single one of you that comes to my blog. Taking time out of your day to see what the Pea is up to makes me smile.

I took a few minutes to snap a few pictures. I love nature and trees. I love how they make me feel protected. Surrounding me like a set of elders to watch over us and protect us from the weather.
We have a large piece of property and have left most of it as natural as possible(-)the scotch broom. That stuff makes me ill and is just plain ugly and takes over. I have seen a few wild animals in my back yard because we left it this way. Black bear- okay scary, beaver on my back porch and I thought it was a very fat cat at first. Fox, bobcat, rabbits, ducks, geese, and the typical squirrels, host of birds. Know there is a cougar that roams the neighborhood but haven't seen him but heard him one night. Again scary.

I took the pictures at first to try and improve my photography skills. I love photography but I am simply not a natural at it. I am working on it. My Future DIL is such a natural at it. So is giving me a lesson or two. So hopefully while I continue to learn I will be able to show you my progress along the way.
Okay, break time over. Back to work for me. I have a ton of stuff to do. May you be blessed

With Out Answers

I would like to apologize a head of time for this post. This blog is a place I write about things happening in my life as well as my art. The happenings of my life effect my art and art effects my life.
My family has suffered a loss. One without answers. I found out yesterday that my cousin took her own life. There was no note, no hints, no words just the loss of her presence in our lives. She left behind a child who will never remember her Mother and to me this is the saddest thing of all. The sadness for this child has a grip on me like one I have never felt before. I know all too well what it is like to have lost a parent before I got a chance to know or remember them. Their spirit lives on in the minds of others but with so many unanswered questions that you are afraid to ask. Asking brings pain to the one who remember.

My poor Mother is a basket case. She has suffered so many losses of late. Dear friends and family alike. Almost too much for her to take. I feel terrible for her and am no comfort to her at all. How does one comfort someone with a loss? I don't think it is possible. Being there seems to be a good thing but useless at the same time. I just know that either way I am numb from the confusion this has left behind. What Courtney left behind. I hope she has found the peace she was seeking. Beatuiful on the outside and fighting on the inside. Left behind love and pain to those who knew her. With out answers.

OH GOOD HEAVENS

I don't know about you but I hope this thing is gone. We don't need it running around breeding. Scary I tell ya.((( Shutters!))) This came in my email, sure looks real anyway. Either way can you imagine? OMG.

Guess what was found just south of Jacksonville... Near the St. Augustine outlet, in a new KB homes subdivision.

15 foot Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake. Largest ever caught on record.

After seeing this, I did a little research, and learned the following:

One bite from a snake this large contains enough venom to kill over 40 full grown men.

The head alone is larger than the hand of a normal sized man.

This snake was probably alive when George H. W. Bush was President.

A bite from those fangs would equal being penetrated by two 1/4 inch screwdrivers.

A snake this size could easily swallow a 2 year-old child.

A snake this size has an approximately 5 and 1/2 foot accurate striking distance. (The distance for an average size Rattlesnake is about 2 feet)

New Creation

Listed my newest creation on TDIPT. If you have a minute maybe you could take a peek on him. I just love that grin.

I went and purchased my paints, curtain fabric today. I am getting excited now. Feels like it is real now. Like it will happen and not if it happens. I can't show you all anything yet, hopefully soon. I am working non-stop and have simply run out of steam.
Off to take 20 winks. Have a good one everyone.

I've been keeping a secret

I have been a busy girl, I have been doing so many things at once that I might have to change my name. To DIZZY. I have been going in circles and have even felt light headed the last few days. No rest and going like I have new batteries. LOL
There is light at the end of that tunnel, one more thing crossed off the old list.
What could that be? Maybe you wonder, maybe you have guessed. It is.....

A BRAND NEW PATTERN! BIZBEE!!! YEAH! You can find it (((HERE)))

This is the first of many I hope for the year 2010. I used to release at least 10 new patterns yearly and last year I only did two. How sad is that?

I have been making up some sweet goodies for a sweet little GIVE AWAY. I am not ready yet, still have a few things to add. Only so much of me to go around girls and it seems that I am in demand at the moment. LOL ya know the list- HOney, MOm, Daughter, Bark & Meow ya know them voices from beyond the mess of paint, thread and fabric. ALWAYS when I have deadlines everyone wants my time or attention. I am not complaining really but geesh could a girl get a break for 24 hours?

Okay gals and guys, I have to get in 20 winks and back to the old sewing room.
Everyone play nice and I will return in a few days with some goodies to share.

BIZBEE

Hello Everyone,
Okay just in case ya didn't know, I am always a day late and a dollar short. LOL I have been a very busy girl and you will all know the reasons to that here soon. Just not today. I know such a big tease huh? I am sorry but I promise it will be worth the wait. I have so many ideas going through the gears and grinds that if I don't keep going I am afraid it will slow down and turn to rust. Besides the fact that I have deadlines this week, working on the studio plans( almost 3 months in the making) more on that later.
I sure wish I have a few of here to pick the paint chip though. started with 97. Have narrowed it down to 4 and can't for the life of me choose. So I guess Kater's will doing that for me. Knowing her- she won't like any of them.LOL
Oh there I am rambling again.
Ya came to see Bizbee. Isn't he cute? I just love this little bugger- tee hee get it?

Anyway he will be off to his new home on Monday.

So sad I will miss him. A sweet feller bought him for his Mrs. Wish my hubbers would do a bit of prim shopping but at this point I would be happy if he gets the sand paper and the mail tomorrow. LOL
Okay girls I have to go finish the surprises. I hope you will stop back here soon. I love having friends over.

Just a little Peek

Happy Hello Everyone,
I am back in full swing again and couldn't be happier. I was a little out of it for awhile. Some dark creatures had taken over my creativity and held me captive. I am happy to say I have fought them off and ran away. Back to where I am happiest and free to create as I see fit. I have been busy. Oh I can't hardly wait to show you my latest creation but afraid it can't be shown fully yet. Only a wee little peek.
I have lots of things planned this week so be sure to pop back in over the next few days.
Until we meet again, may you be blessed with Joy and sunshine.

a spring swap

Hello Everyone,
see I wasn't gone for too long. I know been kinda silent. Still hunting up that Mojo but it will return. Hopefully sometime soon.

This past week the TDIPT gals have been celebrating spring with a swap. I was lucky enough to get Susie. You may remember I had Susie for the fall swap and it was a great one. This one is just as wonderful.
Just look at this wonderful loot~ I feel like I was queened for the day.

Then there is my big piece. OMG just look at the painting on this gourd bird house. Sweet Susie knows I can't paint, so she does it for me when we swap. I had a few happy tears for the hummingbirds. My Dad loved hummingbirds so. All birds really, especially hummingbirds. He looked forward to seeing our local male with the orange throat every year. I can't wait till it gets really nice and I can hang this outside. In the meantime I have a hook in here so I can enjoy it.

One more view.

I have one more item to show you. Since my mojo is missing I usually create things that don't take any real thinking. So I create collage art to get everything flowing again naturally. It works most times. I made this piece for a friend of mine. She had seen another one of my collage pieces and wanted one. So this was a just for no reason gift. Fun to make.

Sorry for the crappy picture. I wanted to get one shot in a hurry, before I scurried out the door to deliver it.
My favorite part was a happy accident. The be yourself part in upper right hand corner. I had placed the pieces down. When it was dry, I was inspecting it, taking it all in. I noticed that I had placed a bee next to the yourself and did this with no thought to it. How funny is that? I was quite literally in cut and paste mode. LOL
I just grab bunches of papers and stuff. Place it all in a pile and start putting it down. I think I need to do another one this week.
Might have to go pull out some papers.

No, I am not dead!

Yes, I know some of you probably thought something terrible must have happened. I am not injured or dead although I was having health issues and they were stress related. Then to make things a little happier(ha ha) my internet went out for 3 weeks. Boy, oh boy that was not fun at all. When it worked it was worse then dial up. Do you remember those days? It took my stubborn self a while to be talked into speedy internet and now that I have it I love it. So that was not fun at all.
I am happy to report that I am back. Now I must find my Mojo. It has gone and went with the wind I guess. I can't find it anywhere. I think mainly cause I need some sleep. Burning at least a dozen candles at one on both ends kinda sucks the ever lovin life out of ya. Not to mention your brain becomes a big pile of goo.

So today I am going to bed a bit earlier get some much needed rest after today's fun.
I like to wish my eldest Son a Happy 26th Birthday. Jacob, we are very proud of you. Happy birthday and I hope it was all you hoped and wished for.

Have a great weekend everyone. I hope to be back soon. Until we meet again may you be blessed.

Irish Blessings

Created just a sweet one( 3.5 inches tall) for St. Patrick's Day coming up before we know it. You can find this little one on TDIPT I have had no time lately. Just TONS going on. So for now the smaller items will be all you will see. I think it turned out sweet. You get just the mouse in the hat. I have to go change that. The base is not included. That is milk glass that was Grandma's. No other good way to raise it up though:(.
I have to keep this short everyone. Dinner cooking. I will try and post again soon.

Just a spot of pink to brighten your day

I think everyone has seen or read Alice in Wonderland. I adore the cartoon version of the wonderful book. The book is better but most books are.
My favorite part was always the singing flowers. Each one had it own personality and part to sing.
This piece was inspired by my favorite part of that movie. I made her into a shaker so that she could go where you wanted a bit of spring during this dreary weather we are all experiencing. I hope she brings you a smile.

You can find this Lovely on Pfatt market place. Click HERE and it will take you directly to view all her pictures and details.

I will be back in a few days. Doing some organizing and cleaning. Getting rid of A LOT of stuff. Yeah!
later gators.

I have been quiet

It isn't you guys it is simply me.
January always throws something at me. I have learned to have quick reflexes. Simply been too darn busy. Taxes, Mom and just chasing life.

Today was a very exciting day for me. It has been one year since my Best friend decided to move away and leave me here. The snot! LOL No, really she is a butterfly and has go about changing the world. Teaching others how wonderful a good friend can be. Sharing that sweet smile of hers.
Patric her eldest child, tied the knot today. It was wonderful to be invited and even more wonderful to talk to her, give her a hug and get to enjoy that sweet smile. Kris also managed to bring her fella along with her. This is the first time I have met him. A very nice man indeed and so easy going. A bit of a flirt but hey we all can't be perfect. LOL Only a flirt can spot a flirt so there ya go... Just kidding David.
The wedding went off with just a few minor glitches, a smear of cake and lots of smiles, giggles and even a few tears. Yes, I always cry at weddings of those I love. I have had the privilege of watching Patric grow from a very busy little boy to a very kind man. He is a devoted Father and I imagine that his bride will be blessed with a devoted husband.
I got cake too! LOL A enough hugs to keep and make last until I get to go peek in on her later this spring. I can not wait.

Until we meet again my friends don't forget to share your smile.
Pea

P.s. pic was borrowed from internet. I forgot my camera so have to wait for Kris to send me pics.

We Raised $'s for Haiti~ Thank you

Thank you all for your support for Haiti. I had a birthday on the 23rd and decided to add that days totals to the pot. A secret extension if you would. We earned 55.00 for Haiti. It doesn't seem like much, but do you know that will supply one family with water, food and shelter. I am please and I want to thank all my chickies for putting this on their blogs as well.

Now if someone will just start a foundation for our poor folks here at home that are in a tough spot so I can help them as well. I donate to Salvation Army as they help everyone.

Not much going on here. Helping Mom getting a few things taken care of. No creating to speak of, been kinda slumpish but will be back to the studio this evening. I need to create today. LOL

A wee bit of help for HAITI

Hello Everyone,
Watching the news is so hard to see so many folks suffering. I want to help. I can't fly over and help one on one. I am not a famous person that can donate a million dollars but hopefully I can raise a few dollars to help. The children is what kills me. So many suffering. Have lost what little they had. Makes ya grateful for what we do have.

You all know I am having a Pattern Mart sale and it ends Friday at Midnight. Every DOLLAR- that is 100% of all funds for FRIDAY goes to Haiti. I will send the money directly through paypal.
I know it isn't much but every little bit will help. It is what I need to do to help. Heaven is calling and I am simply following instructions.
Thank you all for your time. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and are blessed.
Pea

P.S. I love you

P.S. I Love You! Was inspired by my close friendships or extended family members that I chose~

A sweet bunny and her mouse friend tucked in her hat. Made from osnaburg and cotton batting. Together they measure 14 inches tall. The mouse measures just 2 1/4 inches tall. Tiny little fella but oh so sweet. You can find them on TDIPT Merchantile and read all their details I just updated it a few minutes ago.

MORE GOOD NEWS!
We are having a E- pattern SALE! Yes, that is right. I am going to have a sale over at pattern mart starting tomorrow for one week only. Running from Friday the January the 15th through January the 22nd. I am lowering all my patterns to $4.00 each for this week ONLY! This sale APPLIES to E-PATTERNS ONLY and not to printed, mailed patterns. I am also bringing just a few retired patterns back for this week ONLY~ So get them while you can.

Thank you all for your well wishes for my Mom. She is resting and doing well. Still very scared but taking it easy. Thank Goodness she is listening to me just this once. LOL

Just when I thought I could relax...

I got a panic phone call from my mom yesterday saying she thought she was having a heart attack. I hung up and she called the neighbors to call 911 cause she won't leave the dog at home alone. I shot out of here like a bullet. No make up and looking like a wet hag but it isn't important when you get a phone call like that. Cried the whole way and of course I hit every red light. Rushed to the house knowing she was at the hospital. The neighbor took care of the dog and the other went with her. The only way to lock her house is with a key. Do you think we could find either mine or hers. NOPE! We later found both thank goodness.
I got the dog and took off running again. I knew I couldn't go without the dog. I know you all think I am nuts and you are probably hitting the mark, but the dog is family. It means the world to mom and the first thing she asked about.
I walked into er and monitors/she didn't look good. Then they tell me that I am the one that looks like they feel? Thanks so much I think I will leave now. LOL

They ended up keeping her overnight. Did a battery of tests and they came up inconclusive. So they are ruling it as a very mild heart attack and released her this evening. That is modern medicine for ya. Tell ya you almost died and you can go home now.)(*%*%&_)(*&(%^*%$$@!#$%
So she is resting. They gave her blood thinners and has to visit her reg. doc.
I am toast. I was on the way home when hubby called and said go back and get her, she can go home. It is about 40 minutes to her house. So whip around and off I was running again.
Took her to get some food and home. Then I went to walmart and michael's. Tee hee. Need to cool my jets. I was mad at the hospital for letting her go home. Nothing I can do. I wasn't there to argue.

So my friends. Call your moms today. I was thinking that 20 10 wasn't gonna start out very nice. It seems there has been a turn around. I still have my Mom.

Out with the OLD and HELLO to the NEW~

Wow time sure flies anymore. Must be because I barely sit still for more then a few minutes. I am so very tired. Have been dragging for what seems like months. I think I need a pick-me-up and a bit of CPR. Ha ha! Maybe just simply some sleep for more then 4 hours might be in order. A crash and burn session as I refer to it.

Christmas went off without a hitch. The kids all showed up, Mom made it here as well and it was a lovely Christmas eve dinner. Quiet and easy. We had prime rib, taters, gravy, and a host of other goodies. Christmas Morning my whole family here at the crack of dawn for presents. We all made out very well. Santa was broke but he sure knows how to get a deal out of those elves. LOL

I for one am ready for the refreshing start of a NEW YEAR! I love that I get to swipe that slate clean, shrug off the crap from last year and put on some new duds along with a new view. Most folks lay themselves thick with, I am gonna do this or that. A list of must do's and well in the past I was one of those kind of people. Not that it isn't a bad thing to set goals. For me setting goals is always a good thing but too many at once for me personally becomes like everything else - a TASK! A nasty four letter word that is a lot like the other nasty four letter word -WORK! LOL Now we all must do what we do on a daily basis to keep things going but the older I get the more I hate those nasty four letter words. I like four letter words like ~REST!, SHOP, and my favorite would be CAKE!...

So this year I have lots of "IDEAS", I would like to put to the front. I honestly don't know how many will come about as I really struggle sometimes with the get up and go needed to complete so many tasks. I am not a lazy person, but loose my steam with so many distractions. So this year at the top of my goal list is the to fix the steam issue. Which means eating a wee bit better. I started this two weeks ago and so far I do feel better. Still very tired but that is a iron issue and I can not take vitamins with iron as I am actually allergic to iron. Iodine as well and they almost always have that in there too. Good for ya, just not me. So I have to eat a wee bit more greens. Had some cabbage last night- I know most of you are going YUCK- I love it. Good thing too cause I need it.

Changing the old sleep schedule might help as well. This is the final goal for the time being. Again I can't do too many at once so 2 is my limit. Besides being my favorite number. It is actually only one thing. Feel better- so two changes hoping that it helps me feel better. I am sure once I have mastered these two I will move on to others to increase my feeling better attitude.

What are some goals that you have set for yourself if any? I would love to cheer you on in this. So be sure to let me know. Support is the number one key to success they say. I have my kids and friends from church cheering me on here. It is good cause I am sure there will be days when I will need it.

Just wanted to say HELLO, tell you what I have been up to and wish you a very HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope 2010 is the best year for you EVER!!!!

May you be blessed

A BIT OF CHRISTMAS SPIRIT

Okay, I admit it. I have been in a bah Humbug mood for most of the season. I have had a lot of *STUFF* lately and it has put me into a bad mood. One continue Witch session. Just the same usual stuff that most of us go through but all at once. When it rains it pours and lately here it is coming down like buckets. I am not telling you this cause I want you to feel sorry for me or say Oh poor Pea, I am saying this so that you know there is someone out there that goes through it besides you. I know it isn't really comforting but sometimes just having someone to relate to, makes bull crap seem less like the bull crap it is really. I mean it has been so bad that I don't even have the tree out or nothing. 2 little decorations from dear friends and that is it. How pathetic is that? Talk about a Scroogette huh?

So my dear daughter K.T. knows me well and this isn't the usual mood I am in for the holidays. She knows that usually I am the one practically shoving the Christmas spirit down the throats of unsuspecting victims who manage to get in my path. LOL. Passing out a host of goodies and good cheer to those in need.

K.T. decided that some change in scenery was in order. K.T ,her boyfriend and his Mother had made plans to go to the Point Defiance Zoo for what is called Zoo Lights. K.T. asked Jame's Mom if she minded if I came along. I have always wanted to go and well my hubby can be very lame and does not wanna go. Kathy said she was driving and anyone could come. I was very excited to be invited and so looked forward to it. It was colder then frosted Dingle berries but sooo worth it.

A total of 6.50 to get into the gate. The gas and toll for the bridge. Still under $15.00. less then a Movie for 4 people.

Oh my stars. It was so pretty. They has music going and there were a few more people then I like but still manageable. We got to go into the aquarium as well. It was ~warm~ in there and that was a nice break from the cold. I will share those few pics tomorrow.

Just look at that lovely green and purple tree. That was my favorite. They had Mt. Rainier , the rivers and sound mapped out in lights. Even animals. We did stop by the gift shop and I had to buy a ornament to remember my trip. I chose a snowy owl in glass as it reminded me of my dad. How he loved the birds and listening to the owls we have here at night. Not snowy ones but I liked that ornament best. Daddy would have enjoyed that as well and complained about the power bill. LOL Another reason from my Bah Humbug. I have been missing him quite a bit. I guess I am taking over where he left off somedays. Been just one year since his passing. Still seems like a fresh wound with salt to me.

The end was perfect. It gave me a new sence of hope. A gentle reminder that this too shall pass.

Go and check to see if your local zoo does this. When I google it, there were many choices of zoos. Great for the kids too but bundle up. Baby it is cold out there.

MERRY CHRISTMAS YA'LL! LOL
