No, I am not really going to try to do 98 posts but thought it would be fun to say it. LOL
Last month I also received my swap from Tracy of Tracy's Treasures
She and I had done a very large pay it forward swap. I had sent her a mini and a few goodies. I know you have probably seen the video but incase you missed it, it is *HERE*.
She has been working like crazy and had lots of stuff going on. It took her awhile but she managed to get me back with little teasers of it. LOL This is it, it is the first mini I have ever received and I treasure it! She made me cry!

Post number two ~ kindness of friends

yes, back so soon. I figured I should show you all a few special creations I received recently. I am so blessed to have met so many wonderful friends here on line. One of them is Schell of Schell's craft corner
I sent her some random stuff from my studio last month. It was stuff I wasn't going to using and she insisted on returning something to me. I didn't do it for any reason other then the items I knew would get used by her and her crafty boys;)
BOY did she shock me and spoil me rotten!
here are some lovely flowers she made using my tutorial for making puffy flowers or as my dear Katers calls them Poo-fey.

She also made me some wonderful vintage style cuts with her cricut and I can't wait to give these some play time;)


She sent a journal and lots of wonderful gifts but this one made me gasp! I love this little hook. It now has a home in my studio right inside the door.( sorry the sign is crooked)

Isn't it just darling? I had made a video of me opening everything and my P.C. ate it. I have looked everywhere. Must have been sent to la la land when this thing crashed a few weeks back. Oh it was bad. sorry Schell:(.
Everything was so sweet and she even wrapped it nice. Special goodies from her and her boys. Along with a very sweet card. Sorry my pics didn't turn out of that. Will try and capture that with the studio tour. The goodies are still out.

Ha ha, couldn't resist as that is how I feel. I have been so busy with Mom, wedding stuff for our youngest sons wedding sneaking up on us that I haven't had time to blog. I felt I couldn't put it off any longer. For the June swap I received my box from Amy of worker4ever123 on Youtube. here is the link to her channel with the box she created for me.

So this is the first post of many to catch up. I have been very busy and have a few bad things pop up too. Lost a dear friend to cancer recently. Been a hard month. My Nephew Alex had open heart surgery last week. Thank GOD he is doing well and is home already. He is so amazing and strong just like his mom. That was a huge blessing.

a Recent Swap

hey everyone,
I have been MIA for awhile. Still fighting with the hands, so glue and paper have been all that I have been able to do. Although I did do some sewing a few days ago. I will share that later.
I joined the Super secret cigar box swap hosted by jadedstudios on you tube. It have been a blast. I sent my box out and my partner has received it. Here is the *LINK*

The "p" was actually a temporary letter for the initial of my partner.

The theme was a sewing box. Retro,mod chic. I went with lighter colors to please my partner. The extra challenge was to do a separate pin cushion and this is the one I made for my partner.http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif


She collects dress forms so I just had to try and make her one.

MY FIRST TUTORIAL

Hello Everyone,
I made these flowers and showed to a few friends. They wanted me to show them how I did them. Although I think we all made them in grade school. LOL Okay maybe that shows my age*Wink*.

This one I made with old pieces of patterns from my mom from her seamstress days. I glitz spritz it from Lindy's stamp gang. Love that stuff.

This one is made from $1.00 store white tissue and used the glitz spritz and painted it with a paint brush. A pretty bead glued in the center. Still have to make the leaves.

On to my day. Last night Mom called and said she thought that yellow jackets were getting into the attic. She wanted Michael to come and take a peek. So we went over there. He climbed up there and looked around but didn't hear or see anything. She was relieved to hear that. I will go and see her tomorrow to take her to grocery shopping.
also had to go get a new sticker for my car so I can get on base. MOm shouldn't be driving that much yet. I have been trying to get that sticker done for months and just now got it. It is a pain in the butt and you sit there forever like if you went to the DMV.
I am gonna try and have another video done tomorrow. We shall see. It depends on how late it is with Mom. It might be Thursday.
Okay kids I have bored you long enough. Working on goodies for the give away. Just running behind with my hands. still hard to sew yet. When you see the video you will see what I mean.

Happy anniversary/Father's Day~ Hubby

Today 29 yrs ago today I married my hubby. Can I say WOW, hard to believe it has been 29 years. It seems longer but I am grateful for every single day. He has such a big heart.
Just like this picture of these two very different trees. One is a cedar and the other a pine, they can't help but be together. Joined for life. Michael and I found these on our trip the other day. I thought it was sweet and so did he. He made a comment about it, that was like us. Very different but the same where it counted.

We plan on going out for dinner but hope we don't have to wait in line.

On another happy note I got my new table set up. Ikea was a huge success. Lots of goodies to organize the studio. Still lots to do but hope to get it cracked out sometime this next week. Another busy one for me with Mom. I had a migraine on yesterday which took most of my day in bed.





Isn't this wonderful, sorry but I am so excited by this huge table. It measures 50" L x 31" W. Glass top. I bought a new matt to cover it so I won't scratch or chip it. The drawers are wonderful. 10 drawers more then I had in my previous table. I can't wait to get it all done with the stuff I need close.
Well I better scoot folks. I need to jump in the shower and get ready to go. Have a good one. Happy Fathers day to all the dads.

A Sunday Drive

Post # 335. WOW! Not bad for someone who does not post but once a week. ha ha.
Today hubby woke me up early:(. I really wanted to sleep in but he was on a mission so I guess I will forgive him. He wanted time with me. Now how can I be mad? I can not. So I got ready and he said bring your camera. YAY!
What a wonderful time we had. Driving through this beautiful country side. A beautiful spot called Dewatto Bay. The Dewatto River & Anderson Creek Flow into the sound. Making up Dewatto Bay.

We went for oysters. Yummy. So I got to take pictures and hubby got his oysters. I ate a couple but I am allergic to iodine so I can only have a few at a time. Hubby fries them up so nice.

This is for Tracy. Show hubby. I think it is funny. This is a little gravel pit that hubby stopped at just for you guys. :) Ha ha
I did not edit the picture in case you wanted to use it for your 365 project. tee hee I know really tiny huh? Well see that is how it is done around this area cause of the trees. Old river bed this is.



Just look at this magnificent tree! It reminds me of something out of fern gully or Robin Hood. I fell in love with this old tree and call it the fairy or faerie tree.


Lastly I took a few shots of our wild rhododendrons. They are so very pretty and the bees were very busy today. Actually I took over 100 photos today. Have to share a few at a time. So long to edit them all.




House gets back to normal tomorrow. Plan on running an errand and cleaning up this joint. I am looking to going to Ikea here hopefully this week so I can get my new table. I can't wait to have the studio all done and organized. Let the creating begin.

Yet another video project

Yep, I am home for another really short break but the good news is it is my last break. I will be home for good on Tuesday. Mom is being quite ornery, so I know she is feeling better. Right now I know I am not even needed but wanted so I am staying a few more days until she goes to the doctors. Her dog will get to come home this next weekend. I know they both will be so happy when that happens.

I created another piece for the Lindy's Stamp Gang Under the Sea contest. I just had to make one more project for it. I don't expect to win but sure having fun trying ;)

I don't know why I am still so nervous doing these. I got squeaky on one part. I don't understand why? I gotta stop that. I sound like a dork, but I hope to grow out of it. LOL

Okay I know this is a short post but I am very tired. I was up so very late last night trying to finish this project. Want a hot shower and a nice soft pillow.

A short break home, a project and video!

Hey Everyone,
Katie went to stay with Grammy for the evening so I could get a 12 hr break. I am feeling sick again as my new meds aren't in yet and I can't afford to be sick while caring for her. So Katie & I decided it would be a good idea for her to take over for the evening. I had nightmares last night and ended up hurting my arm. I will return there tomorrow afternoon. Trying to get a few things done here. Laundry, changing the sheets and all that kind of stuff for my family for the next few days.

While at Mom's I have been working on a small project. On YouTube Lindystampgang.com is hosting a youtube only contest. The theme is "Under the Sea". I like a challenge and pulled some goodies from the hoard pile to use for it. I had a blast with this piece.

A new project video

hello Everyone,
I came home for a 14 hr break earlier this afternoon. My daughter Kt is with Mom caring for her so I can have a mini break. The kids have all vowed to get me breaks every few days. I don't want to get burnt out or sick again for that matter. My system is still fragile so I have to take care of myself. Even though it is the hardest thing for me to do.http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif
I will return to Mom's tomorrow and will be there for the long weekend. Come home again on Monday to return on Tuesday. Her Dr's appointment is on Wed. I am hoping for good news for her. She is doing better but pushing it a bit far I think. That is simply how Mom is. She is still very tired. Needs to eat more. I am working on that. It is like trying to remove a carrot from a horses mouth after it has been dipped in honey. Good Luck is all I can say. LOL Lock Jaw.

I am putting together a little RAK for my friend here on Blogland. I have sooo much stuff and I thought she could use a little I am not using, being a young Mom on a tight budget. I have it almost ready to but wanted a excuse to play too;). So I created this little project for her. I do hope she likes it. Just something fun for her craft room as she puts it. I might be doing a few more just for fun. Quick easy projects.
Although why does YouTube take 2 hrs of load. Geesh I have HSI.

I am off to play. I only have a few more hours to do some creating before I have to hit the hay. Can't leave Katie stranded with Grammy all day tomorrow.

Mom is going home

Hello everyone,
Mom is being released tomorrow from the rehab center. Despite all the medical/personal opinions that she should stay for her physical health, but her mental health is keeping her from getting better.
I think they should keep her until Monday but she isn't cooperating so she is being let go. I am feeling so many emotions right now it is all white noise. Scared to death she will get worse, scared she will do too much or two little, scared we will drive each other bonkers. I will have to sit and watch movies with her all day. OLD MOVIES! Black and white B movies. Shoot me! LOL Lots of house keeping to do so at least I have that.
Won't be able to create. That will be the worst part. She gets upset when I bring my stuff cause I need to use her table and I use the whole thing. I will try and take a few things small that I can sit in a small space but know it won't be enough. Or I will forget something.
She will have a nurse come in everyday to check on her. Thank Goodness for that. My prayers are answered for that. 6 months of this has been OUR Journey and I will be glad when we can look past it. Having Mom healed and better will be the blessing.
I won't have internet except for my phone so I won't be here unless I get a break to come home. 2 weeks will seem like a life time, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Happy Birthday Michael

Today is a celebration in our home. My hubby turned the big 49 today. WOW where has the time gone?
He hates big deals out of his birthday so simple it is. I went and picked up dinner at Applebee's, a few gift cards to Barnes and Nobles for his e-reader. A CD/DVD Led Zeppelin, and apple pie/french vanilla ice cream for dessert. See told ya pretty simple guy.
He is lounging all week taking time off and catching up some much needed rest. I am sure I can get him to do a few honey list things;).
I know you have seen this shot before but he is shy and hates his picture taken. So this is all I have. One of these days he might let me take a new one.
I am gonna go play in the studio while he watching a war movie.

2 Steps Forward And One Step Back

It seems that the days are whirling right past me like a tornado and I seem to be wearing a anchor of some sort. Do you ever feel like that? I do more often then I would like to admit.
Just like this little sparrow in flight is out of focus but all around it is in perfect focus. This is just how I feel. I think it is a little how Momma feels at the moment too.
Good News-Momma is continuing to heal. She needs to eat WAY more. She has lost 13 lbs in 3 weeks. Needs to walk more to build her strength. She isn't happy at the moment and so desperately wants to go home. The doc says a few more weeks. Still a danger of getting pneumonia.

More good news-I am done with antibiotics. YAY! bad news is I am not healed yet. I have 2 new issues. I have eczema. It has been quiet for 4 yrs and now has come back raging. Both hands and both feet. On top of this I have yeast from all the antibiotics and even have it in my right ear. Common for my treatments I was told by the doc. So now we start the steroids and the pro biotics to heal my poor system. The yogurt with cultures is simply not enough. This hurts almost as much as the thumbs did. The cuts under the fingernails is the worst part of it, but I am sure it will be over soon. About 20 more days the doctor hopes. I hope even more!

I have been working very slowly on a project that I hope to share a video tutorial of soon:) I will try and work on it a bit more this evening.
Making a few goodies for some happy mail for a friend here in blogland.

A few goodies

Okay I admit it I love to shop. Does this surprise you? Probably not. LOL I haven't been able to do much else lately. Glad I am on the mend.;)
I recently discovered a new site and they are right here in Washington! WOW, I am impressed. With their products, their service and their products. Yea, I said that twice on purpose. Tee hee.
This sweet company is called Lindy's Stamp Gang
I actually did something today. Small as it may be, it is something.
This leaf was a free gift with my order. Yes, a free gift. Who does that anymore? Very few companies. They are chipboard and very thick. I ordered a product called moon glow embossing powder. It is the neatest thing since sliced bread. It is TWO COLORS!! yes, two. I ordered the Midnight Bronze Obsidian. It looks black but the bronze shows through after embossing. It shows bronze in one light and black in another.
The other items I purchased were the starburst stains. These are a color with a sparkle in another color. Very neat. Kinda like your other mists sprays but better I think. You can get these in dauber tips or sprays.

Moon shadows are a mist with a sepia tone first and the sparkle shows through. Very aged looking but only works in lighter papers. Not black.

Glitz spritz works on both colors black and white. OMG the sparkle in these is out of this world. Best thing about these is that they won't smear and rub off. They have a sealer built in. None of them will.
They will ship international too gals.



Still on the mend. Momma is still plugging away. Trying to run around the building. I hope she can come home soon:D

Song bird

Saw this sweet bird in my willow tree the other day. Just a singing away. I quietly crept back in the house and grabbed the camera. To my delight he was still there singing his pretty song when I returned. Look at the bird seed belly on this boy? Like a pot belly on a bird. LOL
I zoomed in about 14% to get this shot of him. I love it when nature gives me a picture like this. They are far and few between but I do so appreciate them.



On to my day or days I should say. LOL A few days ago my best friend Kris and her boyfriend came by for a visit. They are here visiting family. They flew in from Arizona.
Justin has never been to this area so he came to sight see and meet Kris's boys. She has 4 sons, 1 step daughter and a grandson that is cuter then puppies. He is a living, breathing dreamer. We hung out, had coffee and just caught up. She leads a very busy life, so I don't get to chat with her much. Not nearly enough anyway. Life does go on and when we can catch up it makes it all the more special. No one knows you like your BFF!

This is Kris. My sweet,beautiful friend!
I woke up this morning and couldn't help but smile. I had stretched and slowly woke up. All of a sudden there were three fluffy tails wagging and patiently smiling at me:) I have my two dogs who greet me each morning with wags and kisses. Then along with those two I have my mom's dog Brynn that I am watching for her, join in on the morning waking mommy festivities. LOL 2 black labs and yellow old Pilgrim. Looks like Dominoes first thing in the morning. LOL
They are all happy, loving dogs and so even on a bad morning it makes me smile. After I feed them I have to go feed the very verbal kitties. They meow and purr until they are fed. What would I do without the smiles these fur babies bring? Be lonely around here that is for sure.

Didn't do much of anything today. Went to the post office to mail out a order, got some packages and came home for a very short nap.( 10 minutes) Cooked hubby dinner- well more like I started it and he had to finish it. Raw skin and hot ovens don't go so well together. yeh, go figure. I hurt like a Dickin's today but I know it is healing and can't wait until it does. I might have a video for you all soon. Nope not what you might expect but will be a treat I promise you. Something I am very proud of. Got any guesses? LOL
We have reached our two hundred followers(THANK YOU ALL!) and will be having a give away just as soon as Momma is out of the hospital. That will be cause for a celebration! Thanks for being patient.

A happy thought

Hello everyone,
Doesn't this image make you smile? I decided while running errands with Katers today that we needed cake. Not just any cake mind you, a DQ ice cream cake. YUm oh YUM!
It is the first smile on my face I have had all week. It was a delicious smile.;)

Last night while in town after visiting shortly with Mom at the hospital, we stopped by one of my favorite stores~Michael's, they has a sale. Really? tee hee. I picked up a few dollar stamps and this puppy called my name.



One can never have too much storage in the studio. I can't create but I can decorate and organize. Great deal at 40% off making it about $50.00 from $90.00


Now mind you both of my thumbs are bandaged, wrapped and hurting like um- well fill in the blank;). I forgot I was so handicapped and thought I could still put this together. HA HA! Kater's to the rescue again. What a great kid. She put the whole thing together even though she was hurting from her 14 mile hike the night before.( LONG STORY) let us just say they got a little lost at Wildcat Lake Trail Head- note- at night. LOL
It is still empty except for the top. I put all my glimmer mists, sparkle mists and color washes in there. I don't have a lot but i had outgrown the space I had for them.
I am still trying to figure out the drawers. I think the extra scissors, tapes etc will go in there. It will sit right next to my chair for easy access. YEAH!

Mom is doing a little better in some areas and bad in others. her oxygen level is down from 70 to 60% so that is good. Walking around the unit twice, so that is good. She is very confused and forgetful so that is not good. I just don't know at this point. Seemed very upset the otherday and was the nurses were earning every penny of their pay checks. LOL They begged me and Katie to stay but she was getting very agitated with us so we thought best to leave before her blood pressure went up. Shortly after my eldest son Jake and his fiance Caty visited. Giving the nurses a chance to work on other items.

My finger is not so good. I see the doc again on Monday. It is still really infected and they removed the nail last week trying to save it. New meds, hope they work. Soaking in peroxide makes it look like a little volcano swelling up to blow. I won't lie when I say I am scared to death!

She's a tough bird!

beautiful Picture of Mom and Daddy before he passed away. Oh How I miss him.

Momma, came through her surgery alright. She did fine and was about 8 hr surgery. Went pretty easy the doc said. She is off the ventilator but not breathing deep enough to heal her like she should. Pain is the monster she is fighting. Meds make her sleep. So they are trying non narcotic drugs. She has the mask on, to keep enough oxygen to her lungs. She has to be awake today to forced to cough. I can only imagine the pain that would be. OUCH!

I received the sweetest card in the mail last night. Perfect timing. The day Mom has surgery I get this darling card from Tracy of Tracy's Treasures.

She said she just wanted to send me a sweet smile it did. It is darling. Matches my phone too! LOL


I go see the doc tomorrow for the thumb. I hope we are done but to be honest I don't think it is. So I am guessing at this point we have more antibiotics to deal with. YICK! I am tired of this game and ready to be done.
I am going to go see Mom this afternoon. Her puppy Brynn is with me and not really happy to be here and not at home. I will take her picture and share later. She is so sweet but misses her Mom. I sure hope she can handle living with me and my brood for 6 weeks? Has no choice but she does love Mike,Jake and me to bits. So that helps.

Tracy's Mini

Hello Everyone,
I finished Tracy's Mini, she received the goodies box and all is well. I am so glad that she liked everything. Was so sweet, she cried she was so touched. Awwwwww now isn't that sweet?
Here is my favorite page from the album. The dress forms are also journaling tags. The charms are sterling silver.


I tried uploading my video and haven't been able to yet. Then again I am trying to get things done before Mom's big surgery on Tuesday. It is coming quickly. I had a mini melt down today. Just still so sick and trying to deal with the stress of it all. This old Pea is falling apart. I just want to be well and I don't see that happening anytime soon. I heard that on average it takes sometimes 3 months to get this out of your system:( That would mean I still have one more month to go. Oh Lord I hope not.

A treasure for Tracy

Hello Everyone,
I feel like I haven't been here in a month. I had appointments for Doctors for either Mom or me every day this week. The next two weeks are exactly the same. I am not kidding:/

So I signed up with a pay it forward swap with Miss Tracy of Tracy's Treasures
Early this year. For two months I have been working on this Mini album for her and gathering goodies. I am happy to say that it is done. Yay!
That poor girl has been so patient and helpful. You see I have only made one scrapbook my whole life. This being the first by scratch. Meaning cutting it all by hand etc.
A bit of trial and error. I can't say it wasn't a challenge, it was. I can't say I didn't learn anything, I did- LOTS! In the end I am happy with it. I hope she likes it. My little heart and creative soul are in there.
I made a video. My first. But I don't have a clue how to do youtube yet. That will be another day. This goes out first thing MOnday Morning to that address Tracy. I tried, I just came short by about a hour:{

On to my day. I slept in. Almost 11 am. I so needed it. The new meds are a pain in the butt. They leave me hungry as there are all kinds of diet stipulations as to what I can't have. Doesn't leave me anything but veggies and lean meat. No bread or cheese? OMG I think I will die! Which if I eat those foods dangerous blood pressure is what happens~ really? How did I get so durn lucky? LOL
Did I mention that it lowers my immune system and makes me anemic. UT-OH:0 I have a cold now and already anemic. This could be scary. So trying my darnedest to be good. A real stretch for this ol' Pea. LOL

Did get some Happy Mail to brighten my day. Just a few supplies but perfect timing as I was able to use some of these beauties in Tracy's album. Yea! Pretty bling makes me feel better. Here is the loot. From Blue Moon Scrapbooking.com



Here is a new kind of stamp I tried. It is silicone on heavy foam. Interesting. No really it is. Stamps beautifully though. From a company called La Blanche. I really love their antique feel to them and used one in the last page of my mini.

Okay girls.I am going to drink some hot tea figure out how to not starve to death and hit the hay early. I am toast.( oh I wish I could have toast:{!!! Hope to create a little while tomorrow since I can't do anything else.
I am not posting my video until Tracy gets this package and posts her. I don't want to spoil all her surprise fun.

Picture Day

Hello Everyone,
Today was just stunning and so I ran towards town to get some nature shots. A breath of spring was showing off herself this afternoon and I wanted to capture it, if I could. I am not a master at photography but I do honestly try. Here is my favorite shot above. I call this Lace 2. To me the blossoms and branches remind me of a lace doily.

More shots of the apple trees. I took 111 shots today and only about 7 didn't turn out. That is much better compared to what I usually take and delete.



Have you ever seen a tree with curly hair? The curls on this bark reminded me of just that. Curly hair. Title of the pic Curly haired Tree.



My last photo for today. Is this one. I just love this shot as well. I am proud of these as these are probably the best shots I have ever taken.

So that was my day. First day in three weeks have felt good and now I have a huge headache. I have to finish up a few things and then to bed early.

This weeks card

Here is my cards for cancer, for this week. I really like this one. I had never kissed the image after coloring with markers. So that was something new and fun. I love the blue and brown combo. Two of my favorite colors. Almost did my Studio in those colors but at the last minute realized that I wanted to take the path less traveled. I know I haven't showed you all it yet. I have to wait for warmer weather to finish up a few furniture pieces before it will be done.

On to my day. I think there are Trolls hiding in the studio. I have so many things missing and there is no other explanation. So it must be trolls. Of course they are sneaking off with my brand new charms for my mini along with my metal doilys. LOL

Finished up two more pages to my mini today. I am hoping it will be all done tomorrow. I can't wait to see it completed.

A snails Pace-Mini Album Sneak Peek

A snails Pace, spring sure has taken her sweet time showing up but this is a real sign it is finally here. Green grass we have through out the year here so don't get too excited. Our grass is green all months except for July/August( I don't water it) We are on a well. I water the flowers but not the lawn. We don't really have a lawn anyway thanks to Pilgrim scratching:(
This is a big Banana slug. Isn't is cute~NOT!


Miss Tracy likes little bitty things- maybe this baby slug will make her go awwwwwwwwwww? LOL sorry Tracy couldn't resist.


I have been working at a snails pace on this mini album too. Although at this moment it doesn't seem like a MINI album. LOL
I am happy to say that I managed to get two more pages done today. I am nearing the end. YEA! I am hoping to have it done this weekend. I don't know- still trying. Here is a peek or two at my favorite page so far.


As you can see I did a sewing theme on this page. I got the Tim Holtz Texture Fades embossing folder pattern and stitches. I love it. I applied this texture to a piece of color core paper in black and red. My Minds eye is the paper background. The flower is a trim from the Lost and found collection. Some of Tim's ruler ribbon and more Lost and found buttons. I LOVE this page. I think it turned out so sweet. Quite a few tags. Some are die cuts from the Lost and found collection and some are handmade from the paper collection. The center of the flower is a brad, it was yellow. A little dab of paint and ink took care of that;) So do you think my friend will like it? I sure hope so. I have put my heart and soul into this little book.


Here is the whole page. The sewing texture fade made a mini book. It is so cute. I put lots of journaling spots in this mini album as I know she loves to journal.
That is it for now. Maybe in a day or two I will have more to show you. I have some work to do.
